Weis Native Picks Davidson Plum and Raspberry

The Davidson Plum is a strikingly deep, dark purple fruit native to Australia. It has an earthy aroma, reminiscent of rosella jam and stewed rhubard. Working with The Australian Superfood Co, Weis has combined the intense tart-fruit flavour of the Davidson Plum with the sweetness of this delicious Weis IceCream.Designed by Dixon Patten of Bayila Creative, a proud Yorta Yorta and Gunnai man, the artwork is inspired by traditional food-gathering practices by First Nations people. The wave patterns are leaves and represents our unique indigenous flora and our connection to Country and to each other. The different circles depicts diverse people/community coming together to partake in ceremony and to eat together.
